Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

This policy explains how The Calm Flyers ("we", "us"), at thecalmflyers.com, collects and uses personal data. We are committed to the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy rules on cookies, and applicable US and Australian privacy laws.

Who we are

The Calm Flyers is an independent educational website run by Captain Adi. Contact for all privacy matters: [email protected].

What we collect

Cookies and advertising

We use a small amount of local storage to remember your cookie choice. If and when advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, non-essential and advertising cookies are not set unless you consent. We use Google Consent Mode, which defaults to "denied" until you choose. If you reject, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use limited cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention where permitted by law. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. US visitors can also use aboutads.info; EU visitors can use youronlinechoices.eu.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie to record that you came from us. See our affiliate disclosure.

Who we share data with

We use trusted processors: our email marketing provider (to store your subscription and send emails), Cloudflare (hosting and security) and, if enabled, Google (advertising). We never sell your personal data. Some processors are located outside your country, including in the United States; where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep your email subscription until you unsubscribe (every email has an unsubscribe link). Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them, normally no longer than two years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents may request information about, deletion of, or opting out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (for example, your EU supervisory authority, the UK ICO, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
